Mission

Building the best tool for understanding data.

Empowering users to analyze data the developer way, share it the spreadsheet way.

Solving data fragmentation

Today, most company data is in databases and spread across many different SaaS tools. This data fragmentation has left business users unable to access and work with company data easily. Business users no longer have access to their company data, and Excel or Google Sheets are no longer the right tools to understand it.

Bringing users closer to their data

BI tools are being built and used to access & analyze data. However, the most popular feature in many BI tools is Export to CSV. Even with these tools, users are still exporting their data straight to a spreadsheet. BI tools are being used largly as a way to connect to data, rather than analyze it. Quadratic is building a bridge to empower entire teams to work with their data in a spreadsheet they already know how to use, connected straight to their data.

Modernizing the spreadsheet

Spreadsheets are the most widely used interface for working with data. There is no environment to configure, terminal commands to understand, or barrier to working with and analyzing data. With Quadratic, we combined the most popular programming languages and brought them into the spreadsheet interface with no setup or configuration for our users. Quadratic users can just drop their data in, do any analysis they can imagine, and then share it with the team with a single click.

Empowering citizen developers

Nearly every member of our team has experienced the modern concept of citizen developers or the concept that everyone in the organization can write at least a little bit of code. In this new paradigm, teams everywhere are experiencing an overlap of technical and non-technical members. We are building a product that allows developers to speak in spreadsheet and spreadsheet users to speak developer.

Minimize code maintenance requirements

Presenting and sharing data and insights is taking a huge leap forward, but the spreadsheet is still the de-facto way to share insights. We want developer code to be easily maintained inside spreadsheets so that when they leave or move within their company the code handoff is as painless as possible. You should be able to build your tools inside your spreadsheet, not need to build tools intended to connect to your spreadsheet.

Analyze data the developer way, present and share it the spreadsheet way.
