Once connected, ChatGPT can use Quadratic like any other tool — read values from any sheet, write new cells or formulas, run Python and SQL, generate charts, and combine your data with ChatGPT’s reasoning in a single conversation.
How to add Quadratic MCP to ChatGPT
- 1
Confirm you have a supported ChatGPT plan
Custom MCP connectors are available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans. Free-tier accounts don't yet support remote MCP connectors. - 2
Enable Developer Mode
Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings. Scroll to the bottom and toggle Developer mode on. This exposes the Create button for custom MCP connectors. - 3
Open the Connectors page
Go back to Settings → Connectors. You should now see a Create button next to the list of built-in connectors. Or jump straight there: - 4
Click "Create"
The custom connector dialog asks for a name, description, and MCP server URL. - 5
Paste the Quadratic MCP URL
Use Quadratic as the connector name and paste the MCP server URL. Set authentication to OAuth.MCP server URL - 6
Authorize with Quadratic
Click Create. ChatGPT will redirect you through a Quadratic OAuth flow. Sign in and approve access. Your connector is live. - 7
Enable Quadratic in a chat
Start a new ChatGPT conversation (or Deep Research), open the + menu, pick More → Apps & Connectors, and toggle Quadratic. Try: "Pull my Quadratic CRM sheet and list deals that haven't moved in 14 days."
ChatGPT + Quadratic MCP FAQs
Why don’t I see the "Create" button in ChatGPT Connectors?
Developer Mode has to be enabled first. Go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and toggle Developer mode on. Some Enterprise workspaces also require an admin to enable custom connectors.
Does ChatGPT MCP work in Deep Research?
Yes. Deep Research is one of the main use cases — Quadratic gives Deep Research read/write access to your spreadsheets, so it can pull numbers, build comparisons, and cite live data.
Can I use Quadratic MCP with the ChatGPT mobile app?
Yes. Once you’ve added the connector on chatgpt.com, it’s available in the ChatGPT mobile apps as well.
How do I remove the Quadratic connector?
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors, click the Quadratic connector, and choose Remove. You can also revoke OAuth access from your Quadratic account settings.
What is the Quadratic MCP URL?
The Quadratic MCP server is hosted at https://mcp.quadratichq.com/. Paste this URL into your ChatGPT MCP configuration.
Is Quadratic MCP free?
Yes. Quadratic MCP is included with every Quadratic plan, including the free tier. You only need a Quadratic account and a supported AI client.
Is it secure?
Yes. Quadratic MCP uses OAuth 2.0 to authenticate each AI client with your Quadratic account. Your AI only sees files and data you already have access to, and you can revoke any connected client at any time in Quadratic settings.
What can I do with Quadratic MCP in ChatGPT?
Once connected, ChatGPT can read values from your Quadratic sheets, write cells and formulas, run Python and SQL, and build charts. Ask ChatGPT any question about your spreadsheets the same way you’d ask about a PDF or URL.
Which other AI clients support Quadratic MCP?
Cursor, VS Code, Claude, ChatGPT, and Windsurf all work with Quadratic MCP today, plus any other client that supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP servers. See the full list.
